The device rests on a desktop and is portable, and permits real-time evaluation of the radial BMD. The device measures the time delays associated with three distinct propagation pathways through the forearm, and from these time delays an ultrasound-based estimate, BMDUS, of the BMD is computed.
The shift of resonance might, therefore, be misjudged. Thus, the present paper would try to investigate (i) possibility of exciting WGM by using not only UV but also white light, and (ii) the inclusion of refractive index correction in the theoretical model. We report here our recent experimental results for utilizing different light sources to excite WGM in ZnO MS. WGM spectrum was observed by micro-photoluminescence (μ-PL) and spectroscopic imaging ellipsometer (SIE), based on an Optrel Multiskop system, measurements.
